iRun Review: Editor (4 stars)
Text Editing Made Easy
The editor is one of the best parts of iRun’s website builder. It has an attractive layout that is for the most part easy to follow. It has a similar look and feel to Microsoft Word and has a wide range of editing options. Plus its image upload system allows you to resize before you put them on the page.

Plenty of Useful Text Editing Tools
It has all the standard text manipulation tools (i.e. bold, italics, underline, bullets, etc.) and you can also switch the editing mode to work directly on the source code if you know some HTML. In addition to the usual offerings, the iRun editor lets you choose different text formats from a drop-down list, like different kinds of headings.
Also, if you put in a table, their system allows you to click and drag the table to adjust it to the size you want. There is an icon that lets you add anchors quickly and easily, this is not a common tool among online website builders. There is also a tool that allows you to add special characters like ©, ®, €, and many more besides. Another handy extra allows you to instantly place a dividing line on your page. Lastly there is the option to insert smileys into your text - a fluffy extra with little business value, but we haven’t seen this on any other builder
There’s also the option to insert a Flash file, though this is not particularly useful because it has to be pre-created with another program.

Image Upload and Editing System is Versatile
The image upload and editing system has many options, though it does take a few clicks to get your image on the page because you have to upload your image onto the server first. When you select an image from the server, it comes up on a preview in which you can specify its dimensions before putting it on your page. A great bonus is that you can also easily link an image to a URL – not a common feature in builders.
